John Ross III, a former wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals and current member of the Kansas City Chiefs, has announced his retirement from the NFL. Ross, who was selected with the ninth overall choice in the 2017 NFL Draft, attracted a lot of attention for his exceptional speed.

He ran one of the fastest 40-yard sprint speeds in NFL Combine history, 4.22 seconds, among the top three quickest times ever. He has decided to end his professional football career despite his potential talent.
