A man was caught tearing down posters of kidnapped Israeli children by Hamas in New York. The individual has been identified as Brandon Gonzalez.

He was caught on camera, where he was being confronted by others for his actions. The video of the incident went viral on social media. 

“Aww, they’re so innocent?” is what Gonzalez dismissively responds when he is confronted. and resentfully hopes that his opponents will also be abducted.

Who is Brandon Gonzalez?

Brandon Gonzalez is reportedly a former busboy at Auxiliary Services and a SUNY Oswego graduate. 

He was severely criticized on social media after the video of him tearing down posters of kidnapped Israeli children by Hamas went viral. One user reacting to his video on Instagram commented, “There is something seriously wrong with these people.”

“His punishment should be to serve with his pals Hamas. Let’s see how they take to him/her/they/that/it” another user wrote.

Antisemitic acts have increased as a result of the protracted conflict between Israel and Hamas, affecting Jewish communities across the globe. The Global Project Against Hate and Extremism’s co-founder, Heidi Beirich, is aware of the pattern that shows a spike in hate crimes in the Middle East amid emergencies.

Sadly, there have been close to 10,000 fatalities as a result of the confrontation between Israel and Gaza. Israel is consequently coming under increasing pressure to relax its limitations on Gaza. Gonzales’ strong views on the subject have sparked a larger debate over whether different types of protest are legitimate in times of international unrest.

After Israel responded to Hamas’ terror strikes on October 7, tensions throughout the world grew, and antisemitic acts against American Jews increased. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL)’s regional director for Michigan, Carolyn Normandin, has noticed a marked rise in the number of incidents in her state.

According to sources, the ADL recorded a 388% rise in antisemitic occurrences nationwide over the same period the previous year.
