A suspect charged with attempted aggravated murder has escaped police custody and is on the run. Oregon Police authorities are currently chasing the suspect identified as Christopher Lee Pray.

The person managed to get away from the authorities despite being restrained in the arms, legs, and stomach with shackles. He allegedly took off in a Dodge minivan from a hospital.

Who is Christopher Lee Pray?

Christopher Lee Pray is 39 years old. He was in police custody and was admitted to Oregon State Hospital in Salem. He escaped on Wednesday night at 10:45 p.m., according to a news release from Oregon State Police.

According to a statement from the Oregon Police, at the moment of his escape, Christopher Lee Pray was securely restrained with leg shackles, a belly chain, handcuffs, and a restraint that connected all three together. He was dressed in a white t-shirt, maroon sweatpants, and black rubber slippers.

As per police officials, he is considered highly dangerous and was initially in custody at the Multnomah County jail, facing several serious charges, including attempted aggravated murder, and had been taken to the hospital on Wednesday.

Pray is suspected to have escaped after taking a white 2016 Dodge Caravan with an Oregon license plate bearing the number E265614, according to the police.

Pray managed to evade law enforcement by heading southbound on Interstate 5. The pursuit was discontinued by law enforcement due to safety concerns, and Pray was not captured at that time, as stated by the police. Currently, Pray’s location is unknown, and authorities are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to get in touch with them.

Oregon Police in a statement said, “At the time of his escape, he was fully restrained with leg shackles, a belly chain, handcuffs, and a restraint connecting all three together.”
