The US Secret Service was looking into how the white material ended up to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue on Tuesday after a preliminary field test on it revealed that it was cocaine, according to law enforcement officials.

The discovery of the substance, which has been sent out for additional testing, was made late on Monday when a member of the hazardous materials team of the Washington DC fire department radioed: “We have a yellow bar saying cocaine hydrochloride,” said the Washington Post.

On Tuesday morning, the US president and first lady Jill Biden arrived back at the White House after their getaway in Maryland.

According to a representative involved with the investigation, there wasn’t much of the material.
