Following an inquiry by the office of District attorney Alvin Bragg, Donald Trump was indicted, making him the first president in history to be charged with a crime. Trump was charged with a crime involving a “hush money” payment to Stormy Daniels.

On Saturday, April 1, 2023, Trump intensified his criticism of Alvin Bragg by focusing on the lawyer’s wife Jamila Ponton Bragg in a diatribe on his social media app Truth Social. At least the lawyer can inform his “Trump-hating wife” that he is bringing charges against the “most famous” president of the United States, he said.

Jamila Ponton Bragg has been very involved in the probe into Donald Trump and frequently lambastes him in her tweets.

Who is Jamila Ponton Bragg?

Jamila Ponton Bragg was born on October 26, 1974. She has worker as the project director at Girls Incorporated, a non-profit organization in New York. She is from Pittsburgh. Jamila’s mother works as  a teacher in Pennsylvania.

She is married to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. The couple has 2 children.

Jamila has been a vocal critic of former president Donald Trump during his presidency. She has also participated actively in the Trump’s hush money investigation, retweeting a lot of Twitter messages.

According to the New York Times, Jamila married Alvin Bragg when she was 29 years old.

They met at Harvard University, where she was pursuing her master’s in teaching and Alvin was a law student.

In 1999, Jamila earned her degree from Duke University, and Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. In addition, she established JamRock Films, LLC. This theater production company mainly specializes in plays about women.

Ponton Bragg began working for Atlantic Philanthropies in 2006 as the CEO’s personal assistant. For a few months in 2012, Alvin Bragg’s wife also worked for Sesame Workshop. Her LinkedIn profile states that she started working as an adviser for the Emma Bowen Foundation in 2015 and remained there for more than three years before departing in 2018.
