Authorities in Oklahoma have arrested Jaye Dee Watts of murder in relation to her mother’s death in September, who was 72 years old.

A news release from the Oklahoma City police states that Watts is accused of purposely giving the woman a firearm, which led her to commit suicide. Watts is charged with abduction and felony murder by caretaker abuse.

Who is Jaye Dee Watts?

Jaye Dee Watts is 44 years old. She is charged with murder in connection to her mother’s suicide. She allegedly “intentionally provided a firearm to the victim which prompted the victim to take her own life,” leading to charges of kidnapping and criminal murder by abuse of a caregiver.

When police found Jaye Dee Watts’ mother, Lynda Watts, dead on September 10 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at her Blue Quail Drive home, they first took her into custody.

According to KWTV, authorities were able to get surveillance video evidence from outside Lynda’s residence, which showed the perpetrator and victim engaged in combat. According to police testimony published by KWTV, Watts is heard saying, “Here’s a gun,” and “Do with it what you f****** will, b****,” in the footage.

Additionally, Watts allegedly warned her mother to “take your pill or choke on it and die,” according to KOCO-TV reports.

According to Watts’ Facebook profile, she just beat cancer. In a birthday celebration Facebook post from 2017, Watts called Lynda an “amazing mom.”

According to a news release from the Oklahoma City police, Watts is accused of intentionally providing the woman with a firearm, resulting in her suicide. Watts faces charges of abduction and felony murder by caretaker abuse.

After receiving the case from the Oklahoma City Police Department, the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office requested an arrest warrant for Watts.
