Jeremy David Hanson, a man from California, was sentenced to one year and one day in prison on Thursday for threatening to bomb and shoot people at Merriam-Webster Inc, according to prosecutors.

Reports say that Hanson, in 2021, used the dictionary’s “Contact Us” section to say that he is “going to shoot up and bomb” their offices, over the dictionary’s use of inclusive language around gender. Among other threats, he also called them Marxists.
