In a breaking news, US Justice Department indicts three men who were allegedly involved in a plot to kill New York-based journalist, Masih Alinejad. The new arrests come on Friday after a long going investigation over death threats and attempts on Alinejad. Alined is known for her work in human rights and women freedom in Iran.
Alinejad took to her twitter account to share the news with her followers. She has been critical of the Iranian Government and has been writing against the authoritarian regime for a long time. She has been constantly been a victim of harassment, kidnapping, and death threats for speaking up for human rights in Iran.
Who is Masih Alinejad?
Masih Alinejad is a New York-based Iranian-American journalist and human rights activist. She is the founder of White Wednesdays, My Camerals My Weapons, My Stealthy Freedom, and Let Us Talk.
Talking about the indictments on Twitter, she said, “The Islamic Revolutionary Guards have been conducting these terrorist operations for four decades.” She further goes ahead to state the Islamic Republic, ‘ISIS with oil”.

Alinejad also made to news in 2021 when an alleged kidnapping plot surfaced after she spoke against the Islamic Republic. Alinejad has reportedly worked with the VOA Persian Service, Radio Garda, and Manoto television. She has also been a contributing editor for IranWire.
In 2014, she launched a Facebook page called My Stealthy Freedom for the freedom of Iranian Women. She was also awarded the American Jewish Committee’s Moral Courage Award for her denotable work in human rights activism.

Having shared a large number of attacks in the past, Alinejad continued to work for the rights of Iranian citizens. “I’m not scared for my life at all because I know what I’m doing. I have only one life, and I dedicated my life to give voice to Iranian people inside Iran”, said the brave journalist.
