A woman is being severely criticized for allegedly commenting ‘Erase all Jews’ on a TikTok video explaining the October 7 attack by Hamas. The woman has been identified as Megan Liddy. However, after clarification, it came to light that she was originally criticizing the Hamas attack and was wrongly criticized for the misinterpretation.

Who is Megan Liddy?

Megan Liddy is a student at Florida State University, as per her LinkedIn. She goes by the username Meganl730.

Several X users slammed her and expressed their anger. One user wrote, “This is horrific behaviour. Her statement directly supports HOLOCAUST. I condemn this horrible statement.”

“Id like to find these folks’ parents and ask them what the hell is wrong with their kid.” another user wrote.

One X user demanding her expulsion from the University wrote, “@FloridaState do you support the antisemitic statements of Megan Liddy. If not, please expel her from the university immediately”

“@FloridaState This is your student. The quality of education you provide is magnificent.” another user wrote.

However, after the clarification of her remarks. Several people came forward to support her.

The October 7 massacre and the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel have resulted in a noteworthy surge in anti-Semitic occurrences and acts of hate towards Jews in the US and around the world. According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), in the first two weeks following the start of the Middle East crisis—which was set off by a Hamas attack on Israel—anti-Semitic incidents in the US increased by about 400%.

There have been reports of anti-Semitic events on the internet, protesters shouting Hamas chants and vandalism at synagogues involving Swastikas. Since October 7, when Hamas launched its surprise attack on Israel and sparked the Gaza War, there has been a discernible upsurge in antisemitic events in the US.
