Miguel Fiallo, a 73-year-old man, has been arrested in connection with a double shooting in Hollywood that resulted in the tragic deaths of two women.

In a terrifying incident in Hollywood, 73-year-old Miguel Fiallo was caught by police following a double shooting that claimed the lives of two women.  On a tragic Monday, just before 5:00 p.m., the incident occurred in the 1200 block of North 57th Avenue in Hollywood.

Officers from the Hollywood Police Department responded quickly to the shooting report and arrived on the scene to find two women with gunshot wounds. Both women were pronounced dead on the spot, making it tragic. Delia Mercedes Cuadrado, 69, and Elizabeth Ann Conly, 62, were later identified as the victims.

Officers took Fiallo into custody after he remained at the site. The arrest happened after an alarming incident that took place in a community where such incidents are uncommon. Neighbors expressed surprise at the significant police presence in what was normally a quiet neighborhood.

According to family relatives, the victims shared a living arrangement with Fiallo. Fiallo was said to have been renting the garage at the back of their house as an efficiency. The terrible incident was caused by a disagreement between Fiallo and the two women over home renovations, notably plumbing and electricity. When they discussed Fiallo’s deposit refund and moving out, the dispute heated up.

On Tuesday afternoon, Miguel Fiallo appeared in court and was charged with two counts of first-degree murder. He was sent to Broward County jail without the option of making a bond.
