Who is Monica Harris?

Monica Harris is a black lesbian woman who has graduated from Harvard Law College.

Harris recently posted on Medium about the “impact of transgender inclusion on the rights of women and lesbians,” but her article has now been removed. She alleges that she received a warning for posting ‘hateful content’, which was censored less than 24 hours after posting it.

In the blog, Harris made reference to the transgender swimmer Lia Thomas and said that Riley Gaines, a former NCAA swimmer, believed she had been “emotionally blackmailed and gaslit into silence.”

The entertainment attorney claimed to be “shocked” by the blog’s removal, claiming that it was a “timely subject” and that she had a “vested interest in the issue” as a homosexual woman of color.

In her blog, Harris, a member of the Foundation Against Intolerance and Racism at Harvard Law, said that transgender people should be allowed to make their own personal decisions. However, the blog hosting website contends that by asserting that ‘the playing field is tilting — literally — in the wrong direction’, she violated the terms and regulations.

The attorney asserts that the article was taken down because it “because it ‘disempower[ed]’ and excluded others based on ‘protected characteristics,’ i.e. biological men who identify as women.”

Writing in a column for Fox News, she said, “Much of my writing focuses on bringing people together around our shared values and interests. I’ve never been accused of advocating hateful positions. This incident is laced with many ironies, not the least of which is that I’ve spent much of my life feeling invisible and not having a voice.”
