A Tulsa County judge sentenced 16-year-old Noah Ney to a harsh jail term of more than 50 years.

This decision, which was made on October 23, addressed each of the ten accusations made against Ney. Possession of a firearm, shooting with the intent to kill, and drug possession are among these offenses.

Who is Noah Ney?

Noah Ney is 16 years old. All ten of the accusations made against him resulted in a sentence. This covered crimes including carrying a weapon, shooting someone with the intention of killing them, and having drugs.

Despite his age, Noah Ney was prosecuted as an adult and given an adult sentence for the shooting in 2022. Although the court found that he was capable of distinguishing right from wrong, he showed signs of resistance to receiving therapy.

Ney, who is 4 feet 9 inches tall, was locked up on Monday after making a daring escape from a juvenile correctional facility in Tulsa two months prior. He attacked the guards, filled his cell with water, and sprayed excrement all over the walls as he made his getaway.

The district attorney for Tulsa County’s assistant stressed, “I have treatment records in a packet thicker than a dictionary showing treatment attempts that he rejected, by escaping or assaulting staff that were there to help him.”

Ney has been involved in criminal activity since middle school. In court, his April 2014 shooting of a five-year-old girl was portrayed as an initiation into the local Hoover Crips gang.

Three days after he escaped the Tulsa County Juvenile Justice Center over a fence, Ney’s re-arrest took place in a dramatic fashion.

The young kid was inside her home playing when Ney drove by it on North Rockford Avenue in a stolen car during the incident. He shot her in the shoulder and neck.
