Shivon Zilis and Tesla CEO Elon Musk had twins in November 2021, multiple media reports suggest. Zilis, 36, is a top executive at brain-chip startup Neuralink, a company owned by Musk.

Reports from Business Insider suggest that Musk and Zilis filed a petition to change the name of the kids to “have their father’s last name.” The request was eventually approved by a Texas judge.

Who is Shivon Zilis?

Shivon Zilis is originally from Ontario, Canada, and used to play ice hockey for her college’s women’s team. According to reports from ‘She The People’, Zilis was a goalie.

Zilis later moved to the United States to pursue a degree from Yale University. She then started working for Neuralink, where she joined as director of operations and special projects, according to her LinkedIn profile. She started working at the organisation in May 2017, nearly two years after Musk found it.

Less than one month after joining, Shivon Zilis was named a project director in artificial intelligence at Tesla. She reportedly worked with Tesla for roughly two years.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Shivon Zilis continues to serve as a board member of artificial intelligence research for OpenAI.

Even though not much is known about Shivon Zilis, the new report has once again put the spotlight on Elon Musk, who has not publicly responded so far. The SpaceX boss already has seven children.

Two of these children are with Canadian singer Grimes. He shares the remaining five children with his ex-wife Canadian author Justine Wilson.

Musk also recently made headlines when Vivian Jenna Wilson, his daughter, changed her name and gender on her birth certificate. She also reportedly cut off ties with Musk. “I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form”, she wrote in a petition.
