Casey DeSantis, the wife of Ron DeSantis, allegedly orchestrated Susie Wiles’ departure, as per a detailed profile on Casey by Politico. Wiles is a well-known political strategist who is currently a key counselor for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2024.

According to reports, the couple did not trust Wiles, believing she was still more devoted to Trump than to them. They suspected she had loaded the state party with people whose allegiance was similarly divided. They believed she had received too much credit for DeSantis’ victory in 2018. “The righthand person to DeSantis, there’s only going to be one of those, and Casey was going to make sure it was her,” Politico reports.

She helped former President Donald Trump win Florida in 2016 and subsequently assisted DeSantis, 44, in his election as governor in 2018.

Who is Susie Wiles?

Susan Summerall Wiles is an American political strategist who was born on May 14, 1957.

Wiles is currently a top advisor for Trump’s bid for president in 2024.

Wiles, who was raised in New Jersey, was one of the three kids of Pat Summerall, a former NFL player who later worked as a sportscaster.She obtained her degree from College Park, University of Maryland.

Wiles worked as John Delaney’s chief of staff in the 1990s while he was the mayor of Jacksonville. Tillie Fowler, a U.S. Representative, was another client of Wiles’.

Susie Wiles relocated to Jacksonville with her husband Lanny Wiles in 1985. Lanny Wiles was a fellow Republican political operative.In 2017, the pair got divorced.

She offered John Peyton, the mayor of Jacksonville, advice from 2004 through 2009. Wiles was credited for aiding businessman Rick Scott in winning the 2010 Florida governor’s race. Scott had previously had little links with the Florida Republican Party, making him a “outsider” at the time.
