Who is Xuming Li?

Xuming Li is 36 years old. He was arrested on June 27 after Umar Abdullah, his neighbor, recorded him on a security camera two times. In these recordings, he was seen crouching near Abdullah’s front door and injecting a dangerous mixture of toxins into the house using a syringe, as stated in the complaint.

As per media reports, for over a year, Li had been expressing his frustration about the noise coming from the apartment above his in Tampa, Florida, ever since Abdullah and his wife moved in June 2022.

Abdullah, on the other hand, mentioned that his family did their best to address Li’s concerns, but the issues persisted, leading to ongoing tensions. Li took action by contacting the police in March, reporting the noise, and also involving the homeowners’ association, as documented in records.

According to the lawsuit, a hazardous materials team’s analysis of the toxic drug revealed that it was a combination of the opiates methadone and hydrocodone. According to a police report, a police officer and Tampa firefighters who came into touch with this hazardous concoction had skin rashes as a result of being exposed to these dangerous poisons.
