Who was D’Angleo Marquise Gracy?

D’Angelo Marquise Gracy was one of the victims in the tragic shootout at Rockingham County. He was from Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and was only 22 years old. The other victim was a young 17-year-old boy from Harrisonburg. His name has not been revealed by the authorities yet. The news was addressed by the president of James Madison University (JMU) after it happened at an off-campus apartment complex early Saturday morning.

Jonathan Alger, the president of JMU, sent an email to the university community on Saturday afternoon saying, “Although they were not JMU students, they have connections with our local community and many across our campus will be impacted.”

Alger further mentioned that many students reside close to the scene of the crime and requested anyone who saw what occurred or has knowledge that could assist authorities to contact deputies.
