A 30-year-old Dwayne Anthony Jones Jr., who allegedly dismembered 62-year-old Elena Vonfeldt’s body, is the person who officials believe committed suicide before the shocking discovery of the body in an Aurora condominium.

Who was Dwayne Anthony Jones Jr.?

Dwayne Anthony Jones Jr was 30 years old. As per police records, Jones had a history of arrests. He was arrested by Denver police in 2013 on accusations of invasion of privacy, which included one case of actual voyeurism breach of privacy and one count of peeping tom invasion of privacy.

According to Aurora authorities, Jones mutilated the 62-year-old Elena Vonfeldt’s body on Wednesday. Some of her body was found in the condo and in a dumpster close by. Vonfeldt had allegedly gone to Jones’ home to take care of cleaning.

As reported by Fox News, Robert Cruder, a resident who lives underneath the unit where the incident happened. When the cops showed up there at midnight, he said, attempts were made to enter the apartment.

“We heard a crash when they approached this door, so I figured they were busting down the door. It wasn’t until later that I learned it was a gunshot,” said Cruder.

Cruder observed that although he normally heard the activities of those residing upstairs, there was an extraordinary quietness on the day Vonfeldt sadly died.

On Wednesday night, I heard nothing. I would have heard it if those folks had been fighting,” he said.

The police officials reported that it was one of the scariest scenes they had ever seen.

Police tactical expert James Allbee stated that the first responder who was at the condo will have the chance to participate in a debriefing session to talk about their experience.

Allbee clarified, “It’s just for an interpersonal opportunity to process what you experience and realize that you’re not alone.”
