Keke Nicole Smith, a team manager for an Alabama High School was among the four people killed during Saturday night’s mass shooting at a dance studio in Dadeville, her coach said Sunday.
Who was Kele Nicole Smith?
Keke Nicole Smith was a senior at Dadeville High School. She was 18 years old. She was born in Sarasota, Florida. She died when a shooting erupted at Mahogany Masterpiece Dance Studio on Saturday night, according to a report by AL.com.

Smith was a volleyball and softball player. She was also the team manager for the high school’s track team. Her cousin, Amy Jackson, confirmed her death in a Facebook post. She had a lifelong passion for sports. Social media is filled with heartbreaking news, and Nicole’s family is receiving online condolences as well.

Smith was attending Alexis Dowdell’s 16th birthday party, the sister of Phil Dowdell, who was also shot and killed in the horrific shooting.
According to Smith’s Facebook profile, she was also involved in the fashion business as she used to make regular posts on cosmetics and hair.
“She was full of love,” Dadeville coach Michael Taylor said. “Just like Phil, she was very very humble and she had this huge smile as Phil had. She would joke around all the time, and she got onto all of us — even me. She was just full of life.”
“Give us strength and understanding Mighty God. Praying for all loved ones that have lost their lives or were injured,” Jackson wrote on Facebook. “We love you, Ke,” she added.
The other person identified by family is three-sport high school star Philstavious “Phil” Dowdell, 18, reported Montgomery Advertiser.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency confirmed that there were four people killed and 28 injured in the shooting. However, the authorities have not officially released the names of the four victims.
