Thoman Milner died after another tragic incident happened in Lake Lanier in Georgia.

Who is Thomas Milner?

Thomas Milner was a 24-year-old man who died at Lake Lanier, Georgia, after being electrocuted while swimming near Lanier Beach South Road.

Milner got an electric shock in the waters near Lanier Beach South Road, Forsyth County. The incident, which occurred on July 29, has raised concerns and prompted authorities to investigate the cause of the shocking fatality.

According to reports, Milner jumped off a dock into the lake and soon began to scream for help, indicating he was being electrocuted. Family friends tried their best to rescue him but were unsuccessful.

A neighbor had to rush to the scene with their own boat, and a diver finally managed to retrieve Milner from the water. Despite their efforts and subsequent life-saving measures, it was too late, and Milner was pronounced dead at Northside Forsyth Hospital.

While the exact cause of electric currents in the lake remains unclear, Lake Lanier officials have previously warned the public about the risk of “electric shock drowning.” They speculate that faulty outlets could be responsible for such tragic incidents.

Adding to the complexities, Lake Lanier features a dam that generates a significant amount of hydro-electric power for surrounding counties. This proximity to a power-generating structure could have played a role in the unfortunate incident.
