Savannah Graziano, a teenage girl, was allegedly abducted by her father, Anthony Graziano, on Tuesday at Hesperia, in California. Police issued an Amber Alert over the incident for the first time on Monday when the 45-year-old father killed his estranged wife at their Fontana home over a domestic violence issue and fled the scene with their daughter.

They were tracked down by the police in Hesperia and an encounter followed in which both the father and the daughter were killed.

Who were Anthony and Savannah Graziano?

1. Anthony Graziano was a 45-year-old man from Fontana’s San Bernardino County. He was killed in a gunfight with the police after murdering his wife over an incident of domestic violence and abducting his daughter. 

2. Savannah Graziano is his 15-year-old daughter who was also killed in the same gunfight. The police have not clarified if the bullet that killed Savannah came from his father or a police weapon. A report from ABC 7 says that Savannah was wearing tactical gear during the gunfight, but no weapon was recovered from her.

3. Anthony had shot his ex-wife dead in Fontana and escaped in a white-coloured Nissan Frontier car. According to a lookout poster released by Fontana police, he was wearing a white shirt and dark shorts when he fled Fontana.

4.  San Bernardino County Sheriff Shannon Dicus told the media that a person who spotted the Nissan Frontier truck altered them about it on Tuesday. When deputies went to investigate the lead, Anthony Graziano tried to escape. While the pursuit was on, he began firing at the police from his car window which started the gunfight.

5. The faceoff between Anthony Graziano and the police took place took place on the 15 Freeway near Main Street in Hesperia. The car was sprayed with bullets during the chase which disabled it on the Mainstreet. Police say the 15-year-old daughter ran at the deputies during the shootout wearing a helmet and tactical gear.

While Anthony died on the spot, Savannah was declared dead after she was taken to a local hospital.
