Donald Trump on Truth Social announced that he has been indicted on seven counts in the classified documents case. The former President added that he will appear in the Miami Federal courthouse on Tuesday.

Trump is running for the 2024 GOP Primaries. However, ABC News, quoting experts, reported that his second indictment should not affect his campaign.

An indictment is a formal notice given to a person to notify that it is believed that they committed a crime. However, Donald Trump can go to jail or be penalized only if he is convicted.

Trump in his message on Truth Social said that he has been indicted on seven charges. CNN, quoting sources, reported that at least one of them is related to conspiracy.

“The corrupt Biden Administration has informed my attorneys that I have been Indicted, seemingly over the Boxes Hoax, even though Joe Biden has 1850 Boxes at the University of Delaware, additional Boxes in Chinatown, D.C., with even more Boxes at the University of Pennsylvania, and documents strewn all over his garage floor where he parks his Corvette, and which is “secured” by only a garage door that is paper thin, and open much of the time,” Trump said on Truth Social.

He, in capital letters, said that he is an ‘INNOCENT MAN’. The former President went after Biden in a video message.

The US Constitution does not list criminal records as a qualification for the presidency. It says that ‘natural born citizens who are at least 35 years old and have been a resident of the U.S. for 14 years can run for president’.
