Who is Shericka Jackson?
Shericka Jackson is a Jamaican sprinter who competes in 100 m, 200 m, and 400 m sprints. She started her careers as a 400 m sprinter, and won bronze at the 2016 Olympics and the 2015 World Championships, as well as the 2019 World Championships.
Guided by coach Stephen Francis, Shericka Jackson moved down to 100 m and 200 m in the 2021 season. She won bronze in 100 m at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Her 400 m personal best is below 49.5 seconds and she is one of the few women to reach such marks at all those events simultaneously in 2022.
Jackson switched to 100 m and 200 m for the 2021 season. He ran personal bests of 10.77 seconds and 21.82 seconds respectively at the Jamaica Olympic Trials in Kingston. She came third in the 100 m at the Tokyo Olympics. Jackson continued to impress in shorter sprints throughout the 2022 season winning medals at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
