CCTV footage has unveiled the horrifying moments when Hamas militants entered Kibbutz Be’eri, resulting in the massacre of over 100 civilians in Israel. This footage provides a chilling account of the events that unfolded as Palestinian militants launched their deadly and unexpected attack.

Kibbutz Be’eri, a self-sustaining farming community housing approximately 1,000 residents near Gaza, became one of the primary targets for the Hamas militants who breached the typically high-tech, well-guarded border wall between Gaza and Israel early one Saturday morning.

The assailants, heavily armed and arriving on motorbikes, descended upon Be’eri just half an hour after breaching the border wall. The ensuing chaos was nothing short of a bloodbath, as video footage reveals militants forcibly removing three bodies from a car before commandeering the vehicle and heading north. This video, initially surfaced on Telegram, was captured by a surveillance camera within Be’eri, geolocated by CNN to an intersection in the northeastern region of the kibbutz.

Another disturbing video showcases armed militants capturing five Israeli civilians, with the lifeless bodies of four of them seen nearby in another verified video by CNN. Terrified residents reported that the attackers systematically attempted to invade their homes, leading to a state of extreme fear and distress.

The aftermath of this tragedy resulted in the discovery of 107 bodies, primarily those of local kibbutz residents, along with some Israeli security personnel. This horrifying event sent shockwaves through the traditionally agrarian kibbutzim, which were founded on the principles of communal living and agriculture during Israel’s early years. Today, around 125,000 people reside in kibbutzim, dispersed across approximately 250 such communities throughout Israel.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) acknowledged that Be’eri had suffered extensive damage due to the attack. Lt. Col. Richard Hecht, IDF spokesperson, mentioned that they had initially prepared for more evacuees, underlining the severity of the situation.

The assault on Be’eri coincided with Hamas militants’ attack on the Nova music festival, a mere three miles away. They targeted festivalgoers, opening fire at close range and looting their belongings, resulting in the discovery of over 260 bodies at the festival site. Many attendees were believed to have been captured and taken to Gaza, leading to a frantic search by their families and foreign governments.

Several other towns and settlements near the Gaza border also faced the brunt of Hamas’ initial assault. Israel estimates that up to 1,000 Hamas militants breached the border from Gaza, as the death toll continued to rise while Israel launched airstrikes on the densely populated territory.

So far, Israel reported over 900 deaths and thousands of injuries, while Gaza’s Health Ministry announced 687 casualties, including 140 children, with the numbers expected to increase as Israel restricts supplies of electricity, food, water, and fuel to the Palestinian enclave.
