Heavy rains triggered floods in several districts in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, bringing lives to a standstill. In Andhra Pradesh, 25 people were killed and 17 others were reported missing in rain-related incidents in Kadapa and Anantapuramu districts since Friday. In Tamil Nadu, parts of Villupuram and Cuddalore districts suffered inundation after the Thenpennai river was in spate.
