As the crossfire between Israel and Gaza authorities has gained substantial momentum in the last week, the death toll of those killed in Hamas controlled region has breached the 100 mark, according to statements given on Thursday by officials present at ground zero.

Similar figures were reported by the region’s health ministry, which said that more than 580 people had been injured since the violent clashes began on Monday. 

The ministry further reported that a total of 103 people have been killed so far, out of which 11 were women and 27 were children.

Earlier Thursday, the Israeli army said its “fighter jets struck a military compound of the Hamas terror organization intelligence headquarters”.

In a statement released on Thursday, the Israeli armed forces said that “fighter jets struck a military compound of the Hamas terror organization intelligence headquarters. Dozens of Hamas operatives were present at the compound during the strike”, reported AFP.
