Week 8 of the 2022 NFL season began with the Baltimore Ravens beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-22 in Thursday Night Football. It was followed by several interesting games on Sunday as tight ends showed their true potential in their respective games.

While the highlight of the week was on New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin, several others also exceeded expectations to help their respective teams score important points. The likes of Isaiah Likely and Evan Engram put up inspiring displays and received praise from many. Here are the top tight ends in the NFL from Week 8:

Tyler Conklin 

The New York Jets lost 17-22 against the New England Patriots on Sunday, October 30. However, one of the silver linings in the Jets’ gameplay was tight end Tyler Conklin, who registered 6 receptions out of 10 targets for 79 yards, 2 receiving touchdowns and 5 first downs.

Isaiah Likely

The Baltimore Ravens beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-22 in the opening game of Week 8. Likely was one of the most crucial members of the Ravens squad as he finished the game with 6 receptions out of 7 targets for 77 yards and 1 receiving touchdown.

Kyle Pitts

The Atlanta Falcons beat the Carolina Panthers 37-34 in Week 8 of the 2022 NFL season. Pitts was one of the standout performers in the game as he recorded 5 receptions out of 9 targets for 80 yards, 1 receiving touchdown and 4 first downs. 

Evan Engram

The Jacksonville Jaguars were beaten 17-21 by the Denver Broncos in the final London game of the season in Week 8. While the Jaguars failed to clinch the victory, Engram was one of the standout performers for them as he finished the game with 4 receptions out of 6 targets for 55 yards, 1 receiving touchdown and 2 first downs. 

Zach Ertz

The Arizona Cardinals were beaten 26-34 by the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8 of the 2022 NFL season. While they could not win, Ertz emerged as one of their best players on the field, having registered 4 receptions out of 5 targets for 34 yards, 1 receiving touchdown and 3 first downs.

The San Francisco 49ers registered a 31-14 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Kittle was one of the most important players for the victors on the field as he recorded 3 receptions out of 5 targets for 39 yards, 1 receiving touchdown and 2 first downs. 

Mike Gesicki

The Miami Dolphins made a comeback to beat the Detroit Lions 31-27 on Sunday. Gesicki was one of the most important players for the Dolphins on the field as he finished the game with 3 receptions out of 4 targets for 38 yards, 1 receiving touchdown and 2 first downs.
