The Nobel Prize Committee will announce all six awards for this year between October 3 and 10. While most of the awards will be announced in Sweden’s capital city Stockholm, the Nobel Peace Prize announcement will follow tradition. It will be revealed in Oslo, Norway.
Each Nobel Prize carries a cash award of 10 million Swedish kronor (nearly $900,000) and will be handed out on December 10. The money comes from a bequest left by the prize’s creator, Swedish inventor Alfred Nobel, who died in 1895.
