A mass shooting was reported at a condo in Vaughan, a suburb in Toronto, Canada, on Sunday night. The shooting reportedly took place at a condo and it left at least six people dead, including the suspected gunman. 

A news release by York Regional Police says that local police responded to the incident at around 7:20 pm local time after an active shooter was reported at the site.

“When police arrived, an interaction occurred between the officers and a male subject and the subject was shot,” the release said.

According to the police, the subject in question was later found to be the suspect and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police chief Jim MacSween said that upon arriving at the scene the police found  a “horrendous scene where numerous victims were deceased.”
