South Korea became the penultimate team to qualify for the round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup 2022 after beating Portugal 2-1 in its final Group H group match in Doha on Friday, December 2.

“‘Dreamers’ by JUNGKOOK was being played in all reports of major South Korean Media Outlets as they are delivering the good news of South Korea advancing at the World Cup after winning against Portugal!” one Twitter user wrote, as they tweeted the footage.
Another emotionally commented, “This is so amazing… DREAMERS by JUNGKOOK really suits the World Cup game .. congrats SOUTH KOREA.. for sure JUNGKOOK is celebrating right now …”

In the end, South Korea tied with Uruguay by four points. However, they qualified for the knockout stage because they scored more goals.
South Korea did not have the best of starts in the game as it fell behind in the fifth minute after a strike from Portugal’s Ricardo Horta. However, Kim Younggwon scored the equalizer in the 27th minute. Then came Hwang Heechan as he scored the winner in the first minute of stoppage time which took his side to the round of 16 for the first time since 2010.
The team huddled in a center circle, crowding around a phone showing the final moments of their opponent’s game. They eventually exploded into joyous celebrations as they realized that they have made it into the much-coveted final 16 of the World Cup – a feat that they achieved only for only the third time in history.
