The Los Angeles Police Department is actively investigating the incident, reviewing security footage, and seeking information on the suspects. A photo of the alleged dog thief, a woman around 25 years old wearing a gray hoodie, purple sweatpants, and black shoes, has been released. Another suspect, reportedly a 25-year-old man, was also involved in the incident.

The shocking video, which garnered over 20,000 likes and 1,000 comments, sparked outrage among netizens. The incident highlights the emotional toll of pet theft, with one user expressing, “I can feel her desperation, can’t imagine someone stealing my dog.”

French Bulldogs, currently the most popular breed in the nation, command prices beyond $1,000, making them prime targets for theft. Unfortunately, incidents of pet theft, especially French Bulldogs, have been on the rise. The prevalence of such incidents was underscored when Lady Gaga’s three dogs were stolen in 2021.

Ali Zacharias, in an emotional plea for help, described Onyx as a black Merle French Bulldog with two distinct colored eyes and a spotted coat. She shared the profound impact of Onyx’s sudden absence, stating, “I just feel lost and lonely without him. He’s my buddy, he’s my wingman.”
