Canada-based gangster Satinder Singh, alias Goldy Brar, who is a close associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has reportedly claimed responsibility for the shooting of Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala.
Brar is reportedly wanted in several criminal cases by the Indian authorities. A Faridpur court had issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against him earlier this month in connection with the murder of District Youth Congress president, Gurlal Singh Pehalwan.
Punjab Police Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) also took three close aides of Brar into custody on May 1 for reportedly planning to attack a prominent businessman of the Malwa region to extort money from him.
Brar reportedly took to Facebook to claim responsibility for the murder of Sidhu Moose Waala.
“Canada based gangster Goldy Brar has taken responsibility of murder of @iSidhuMooseWala . He is close associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Brar said his module in Punjab carried out attack on Sidhu Moosewala,” journalist Gagandeep Singh tweeted.
Delhi Police is reportedly on alert to find the links of Canada-based Brar with those in Punjab and Delhi-Haryana regions, News 18 reported, quoting sources.
