Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, and wife Sophie when asked about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, dismissed the claims of a feud in the royal family. 

“Oprah who?” Edward reacted.”Yes, what interview?” the Countess followed.

Prince Edward and Countess Sophie recently spoke to a local news outlet, Fox News reported. They revealed that Harry spoke to them at length during Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral. 

Who is Prince Edward?

Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex is the youngest child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He is currently thirteenth in line for the British throne. He was born on March 10, 1964. 

Edward took a gap year after high school to teach in New Zealand. He then graduated from Jesus College at the University of Cambridge in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.

The Earl of Wessex worked as a theatre production assistant at the Really Useful Theatre Compan after a bride stint with the Royal Marines. He then ventured into television producing, eventually setting up his company – Ardent Productions.

It was in 2002 that Edward started began full-time duties as a working member of the royal family. The Earl married Sophie Rhys-Jones in 1999. They have two children -Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn. 

Edward was given the title of Earl of Forfar in 2019.
