Adva Adar, the granddaughter of Yaffa Adar, confirmed that her grandmother who was held hostage by Hamas militants, has been rescued.

On Saturday, video showed Yaffa Adar being hurriedly carried into Gaza across the border while being accompanied by armed people. She is one of a large number of Israeli soldiers and civilians who were taken prisoner as Hamas launched an unexpected attack from Gaza that same day. She is 85 years old.

Who is Yaffa Adar?

Yaffa Adar is 85 years old. She was forcibly abducted from Israeli land and driven into Gaza on a golf cart during the unforeseen foray into Israeli territory over the weekend. A tragic toll has been incurred as a result of this alarming turn of events, with over 1,400 people—both Israelis and Palestinians—losing their lives in the ensuing clashes.

The family lost communication with Yaffa late on Saturday night after she sent a message saying she could hear fighting in the streets, as she previously mentioned. They later learned that her house had burned down.
