Who was Noa Marciano?

Noa Marciano was 19 years old. She was a part of the Israel Defence Forces and was abducted in a surprise attack on October 7.

As per media reports, Noa Marciano, a 19-year-old IDF soldier who was held captive by Hamas during the surprise attack on Southern Israel on October 7, has been officially certified dead by the Israel Defense Force.

The IDF claims that her family has been informed. Hamas, specifically the “Al-Qassam Brigades,” released a video claiming she was killed by an Israeli airstrike on Gaza on November 9th. Nevertheless, contradictory reports from Palestinian sources indicate that she might have died from repeated head wounds from her Hamas kidnappers.

According to the most recent information provided by Israel’s Foreign Ministry, 1,200 persons are thought to have been officially murdered on October 7 by Hamas militants. This is roughly 200 fewer than Israel’s earlier estimate. It should be noted that this figure is provisional and subject to change when more remains that were initially misdiagnosed are identified. There are still about 240 captives being held in Gaza.
