Vijay Sethupathi has bagged the National Film Award for the Best Supporting Actor for his role in filmmaker Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s ‘Super Deluxe’. Taking to Twitter, the actor thanked the director and his fans after winning the award.
“Thank you Director #ThiagarajanKumararaja & each and everyone,” Sethupathi tweeted.

In the film, he played the role of Shilpa, a trans-woman. It also featured Samantha Akkineni, Gaythrie, Fahadh Faasil and Ramya Krishnan.
The 67th National Film Awards for the year 2019 were announced on Monday. Actor Dhanush won the Best Actor Award for ‘Asuran’, the film that was awarded the best Tamil film. Dhanush shared the award with Manoj Bajpayee, who won it for ‘Bhonsle’.
