Season 2 of Bridgerton only dropped two days back and has swept fans off their feet with the slow burn romance of leads Anthony Biridgerton and Kate Sharma, alongside the usual scandal that stirs up in air of the ton.
Bridgerton was renewed for three more seasons after its debut on Netflix in December 2020. Though Netflix has not announced the precise amount, based on previous seasons, the third instalment of the show is believed to include eight episodes.
Season 3 was supposed to focus on Benedict Bridgerton, based on the novel An Offer from a Gentleman. Benedict, according to the novel, has a fairy tale love story when he meets a strange woman at a ball. As he tries to figure out who she is, the audience learns that she is Sophie Beckett, a new employee employed by the Bridgerton family.
After Rhimes mentioned that the programme might not follow the books exactly, many people began to wonder if Colin Bridgerton’s (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington’s (Nicola Coughlan) story might be next instead.
Despite the fact that no casting news has been released, the Bridgerton family will appear in season 3.

Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell), Colin, Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie), Francesca Bridgerton (Ruby Stokes), Hyacinth Bridgerton (Florence Hunt), and Gregory Bridgerton (Will Tilston) have all appeared in all of the seasons so far.
Penelope, Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel), Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh), and the rest of the Featherington family are likely to return as well.
Bailey hasn’t said whether Anthony will return after his marriage to Kate, but the eldest brother was mentioned in later volumes.
Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) appears throughout season 2, however it’s unclear what the character’s future goals are.

While the season 3 cast list has yet to be revealed, future cameos by Kate and Edwina are probable.
“All I can say is I hope so,” in March 2022, showrunner Chris Van Dusen informed Entertainment Weekly. “I’m not allowed to talk about things past this season. But I would love to see them a part of this show in the future.”
While the former Scandal producer remained tight-lipped on who is returning, he did hint that their stories are far from over.
“Just because [Edwina] didn’t end up married or in a match that we saw doesn’t mean that she wasn’t happy,” he told EW. “She is a character who on the show, she really gets to be fully realized. And I love the fact that she has her own wants and needs and desires and feelings.”
