Who doesn’t know John Cena? The wrestler-turned-movie star is among the major celebrities in the world. But, not many know that he was once homeless and had to sleep in his car.

The WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) star was last seen in F9, an instalment of the hit

Fast and Furious franchise.

Narrating his journey to stardom, Cena revealed that when he moved from Massachusetts town of West Newbury to Los Angeles, he was homeless for a while.

“I slept in my car for a while, which happened to be a very roomy 1991 Lincoln Town Car,” Cena said, reported The Sun.

“I had my clothes in the trunk and I slept in the back seat,” he added.

Cena was a gym instructor then and the pay wasn’t enough to cover all his expenses.

“I’d wake up, use the locker rooms and the shower and repeat the process all over again,” he said.

The world-renowned wrestler also shed light on what his father thought about his plan to move to LA. “Dad told me I would be home with my tail between my legs in two weeks,” Cena said.

However, this wasn’t the case as the to-be wrestling star made a smashing WWE debut in 2002. He went on to become a wrestling champion.
