Kempegowda, the farmer, had gone to a showroom to buy a Bolero pick-up truck. He was humiliated by the salesman who felt that he could barely afford a car. The salesman, allegedly, rudely told him off and asked him to leave. He had humiliated the farmer with his statements like, ”The car is worth ten lakhs and you probably don’t even have ten rupees in your pocket.” Kempegowda and his friends allege that the salesman had judged based on his appearance and had thus dismissed them from the showroom.

The farmer who was humiliated threw a challenge in his fury. Like a script straight out of the movies, he returned with the cash of around ten lakh rupees in just one hour as challenged. He stunned the sales executive who had sneered at him and helplessly apologized for his previous behaviour.
Subsequently, an argument broke out between Kempegowda and the salesman. The farmer had dared him to arrange the delivery of an SUV the same day if he brought cash. The sales executive was too stunned and could not manage the instant delivery. Clearly, he had not expected the farmer to return in one hour with ten lakh rupees.

The waitlist for delivery is usually long and it would take at least four days to deliver his car. More heated words were exchanged through the course of argument. Kempegowda and his friends demanded an apology until the police stepped in and broke up the fight.
Though the executive apologized finally, Kempegowda walked away with his money, saying he doesn’t want to buy a car from this showroom.
