After a video of him talking a woman ‘out of suicide’ went viral on social media platforms, a Kerala police officer was proving to be a real-life hero. Kerala Police released the video online, praising the efforts of one of its officers in saving the life of a woman who was attempting to kill herself and would have succeeded if the heroic officer had not intervened at the appropriate time.

The woman who was attempting suicide may be seen standing at the valley’s edge, solid in her determination to leap. The police officer, on the other hand, was adamant in his desire to save her life and continues to converse with her while physically maintaining a safe distance. He avoided scaring the women away by doing so.
The woman continues to walk away from danger, slowly and steadily, thanks to the policeman’s efforts. The policeman continued to approach her after seeing her reciprocate, eventually accomplishing the rescue operation.
Users on social media reacted to the cop’s efforts.

“Many suicides would have been spared if there were individuals to hold the minds that lost their rhythm (sic),” one social media user remarked after seeing the policeman’s rescue footage, while another added, “This is the proof that there are decent people in the police.”
The Kerala Police Department is proud of its officer’s accomplishment.
“Congratulations to Adimali Sub-inspector KM Santosh for rescuing a young woman who was planning to take her life by jumping down the cliff,” the official Facebook page of Kerala Police remarked in the caption.

“I chatted to her while keeping a five-foot space from her. I informed her that I, too, have two daughters and that I would look into her problem. “Although she was initially hesitant to listen to me, she was eventually persuaded,” Santosh said in an interview.
