Joker Trojan malware is back and it is again targeting Android apps available on Google Play Store. This time around, the virus has attacked eight new apps. It steals users’ data, including SMS, contact list, device info, OTPs and other vital information.

The malware has been around on the Play Store apps for the past three years. In July 2020, the virus targeted around 40 Android apps after which Google had to remove those infected apps from Play Store.
A recent study by Quick Heal Security Labs said eight Joker malware were detected on Google Play Store. These were reported to Google and the tech giant has removed these applications from their store.
Joker, which primarily targets Android users, interacts with them through apps. According to reports, the malicious app had over 120,000 downloads.
These are the eight apps that were recently removed from the Play Store:

Earlier, Joker had targeted All Good PDF Scanner, Mint Leaf Message-Your Private Message,Unique Keyboard Fancy Fonts & Free Emoticons,Tangram App Lock,Direct Messenger,Private SMS, Style Photo Collage, Paper Doc Scanner and Blue Scanner.
