The CashApp inventor Bob Lee was fatally stabbed, and the San Francisco Police Department has made an arrest in the case. Nima Momeni, a suspect who also works in technology and knows Lee, is a friend of Lee’s. According to TMZ, he has a history of run-ins with the law and was previously detained for illegally possessing a knife.

ExpandIT’s owner, Momeni, was previously detained in 2011 on suspicion of carrying a switchblade, this time while he was driving his automobile.

In order to get the knife allegation dropped, Momeni ultimately chose to plead no contest to driving while having a suspended license.

In a different instance from 2004, Momeni was detained on suspicion of DUI; however, the charge was ultimately dropped.

He claims to have attended UC Berkeley on his LinkedIn page, but a university representative disputes that, claiming the alleged murderer never went to the esteemed institution.

On April 4, Lee was attacked in a deserted part of downtown San Francisco. At the time, it was determined that the attack had been planned and was neither a robbery or random act of violence.

On the day Lee was stabbed, Momeni was reportedly observed with the victim while driving through downtown San Francisco in a car that belonged to the suspect. The two males are thought to have engaged in some type of altercation inside the car, which may have continued after Lee got out.

Momeni is accused of repeatedly stabbing Lee with a knife. Shortly after the officers arrived on the scene in the 300 block of Main Street, the murder weapon was found nearby.
