Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) increased marginally on Thursday, December 02, 2021. Gold futures were trading at Rs 47783.00 per 10 gm, up 177 points or 0.37%, in the Indian market. In global markets, gold was priced at $1,780.64 per oz.

Platinum was trading at $940.00 while palladium was trading at $1,757.00. Silver futures were trading at Rs 61200.00 per kg, down 1087 points or 1.71%. In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 46,660 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 62,069 per kg on Wednesday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

In Delhi, the rate of 24-carat gold stands at Rs 51,000, while in Mumbai the yellow metal’s price is at Rs 48,120. The price of 10 grams of 22-carat gold in Delhi and Mumbai is at Rs 46,750 and Rs 47,120, respectively. In Chennai, 10 grams of 24-carat gold is selling at Rs 48,960 on Thursday, while 10 grams of 22-carat gold is selling at Rs 44,880. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold is selling at Rs 49,650, while 22-carat gold’s price is at Rs 46,950.

In Chennai, the price of 1 kg of silver is at Rs 66,300 on Thursday while in Delhi and Mumbai, the metal is selling at Rs 61,700. Silver is trading at Rs 61,700 per kg in Kolkata and Bangalore, while in Hyderabad, the rate is Rs 66,300.

Gold has struggled this year after hitting a record high of Rs 56,200 in 2020 as the dollar strengthened on hopes of a swift economic recovery as Covid vaccination picked up the pace.

Global equity markets also retreated today as investors grew increasingly concerned about a growing energy crisis and spiking inflation.

Separately. Brent crude, the international oil benchmark, climbed 1.07% to USD 69.61 per barrel. In early trade, the rupee falls 15 paise to 75.06 against the US dollar.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 719.30 down 0.83% while Nickel and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 1538.80 and Rs 212.55 per Kg respectively on MCX.
