Rashmika Mandanna has shared the first look of her latest project, Mega Blockbuster, on social media. The actress, 26, is not the only celebrity who has posted about the project. India captain Rohit Sharma, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, and Tamil actor Karthi have also joined the bandwagon. The project is likely to be a promotional campaign for an e-commerce platform. Each poster also suggests that a trailer for the same will be released on September 4.

Who is Rashmika Mandanna?

Rashmika Mandanna is an Indian model and film actor, who starred alongside Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan in the film ‘Goodbye’.

Dubbed by the media as ‘Karnataka crush’, Rashmika has worked primarily in Telugu and Kannada-language films. She debuted with the 2016 Kannada film ‘Kirik Party’ at the age of 19. The movie was the highest-grossing film of the year. She made her acting debut in Telugu films with ‘Chalo’ in 2018.

Born on April 5, 1996, Rashmika hails from Karnataka’s Virajpet town. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Journalism and English Literature. Rashmika pursued modelling along with her studies and appeared in several advertisements.

The ‘hat-trick’ heroine has been a part of many commercially successful movies. Apart from ‘Kirik Party’, she starred in ‘Anjani Putra’ and ‘Chamak’ in 2017. ‘Geetha Govindam’, a superhit Telugu 2018 film, led to Rashmika’s wide recognition. She then gave her third consecutive hit Telugu film ‘Devadas’.

The actor, who is allegedly dating South Indian superstar Vijay Deverakonda, dated co-star Rakshit Shetty in 2016 and got engaged to him in 2017. They eventually broke up in 2018 citing compatibility issues.

Rashmika has won many awards, including Filmfare Awards South for Critics Best Actress-Telugu in 2019. Her current projects include two Telugu films, ‘Pushpa’ and ‘Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlu’, and her Bollywood debut film ‘Mission Majnu’.
