Now, multiply their struggles. Got the answer? This is the amount of struggle every Indian dad faced to make it to his school.
Desi dads are just the best and undoubtedly no one can match the level of sacrifice they make for their children. But what makes them different from the rest of the world is their never-ending unrealistic struggle stories that all Indians kids have heard on an average of a hundred times a day.

On the occasion of International Father’s Day, we have brought to you some Indian dad struggle stories that will put Ananya Pandey’s struggle to shame.

If you tell us your father has never told the number of mountains he had climbed and rivers and jungles he had to cross story to make it to their school, this means you’re either lying or you’re not an Indian. Either way, it is always fun to see hear these dramatic stories that we know are not at all true but gave us tremendous motivation for like nanoseconds.
“Main street light me padhta tha”: Every Indian Dad
Does this statement ring a bell? Or maybe million bells? It should. If you are a middle-class Indian kid and have left a tube light, fan or AC of your room on in your father’s presence, you probably would know what comes after. Your dad’s never-ending rant about how he used to study for his exams on a park bench below the street light is a story that never gets old.

If this sounds unfamiliar, try asking your dad for some extra money at the end of the month. This is the story of when he left his home to become something and had just one rupee on him. He then made a house, paid for your school and all the money that you so lavishly spend today. However, we don’t deny his claims but our grandparent’s version of this story is generally quite different. (Just saying)

Indian kids should never answer their parents back and if they do, they should be ready to hear how their fathers never tried to make eye contact with their parents let alone argue with them.
While we all know that the veracity of these stories had always been questionable, nothing can match what our dads have done to bring a smile to our face, and we can’t fathom the sacrifices they’ve made for the love of their kids.
