You might be wondering whether Resident Evil season 2 is coming after rushing through all eight episodes of Netflix’s Resident Evil series. Resident Evil is a hugely well-known horror franchise worldwide. Even if they haven’t watched the movies or played the games, the franchise is well-known worldwide because of its merchandising, video games, and movies.

It has not yet been decided to end or continue Resident Evil. If they anticipate a show will be popular, Netflix will occasionally order early renewals even before the show airs. However, Resident Evil has not received an early renewal or cancellation. The good news is that there is still plenty of time for the show to air and, ideally, perform incredibly well on the service to justify a lengthy commitment across several seasons.

Netflix’s genre programming has often been hit or miss, yet some of the biggest shows on the streaming service are fantasy or horror. The Witcher is in all probability the most analogous because it is a highly well-known brand based on both acclaimed video games and books (although the Netflix series is based on the books, not the games). We are optimistic about the future of Resident Evil because Stranger Things is also one of Netflix’s most popular shows and its audience should overlap with that of Resident Evil.
