Justin Tucker, one of the most accurate kickers in NFL, missed a 56-yard attempt against the New York Giants on Sunday. This was the Baltimore Ravens star’s first miss since week 10 of the 2021 season.
Who is Justin Tucker?
Justin Tucker is an American football player who plays for the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League. He plays the kicker for the special teams. Tucker was undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft and was later signed by the Ravens. Tucker has the highest accuracy rate in the NFL, at 91.1 percent. At 66 yards, he also holds the NFL record for the longest successful field goal.

Justin Tucker was born on November 29, 1989, in Houston city Texas and attended Westlake High School. He committed to play for the University of Texas’s Texas Longhorns football team in college. He stayed at the university from 2008-12.
NFL Career:-
Tucker went undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft. On May 29, 2012, he was signed by the Baltimore Ravens.
Tucker was a very accurate kicker in his first season, making all 42 of his PAT attempts and only missing three of his 33 field goals. In Super Bowl XLVII, his two fourth-quarter field goals secured a Ravens victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Tucker earned his first Super Bowl ring with a 34-31 victory. Tucker finished the following season leading the league in field goal attempts and earning his first Pro Bowl selection as well as being voted first-team All-Pro by AP voters.
He finished his third season in 2014, contributing 129 of the Ravens’ then-franchise-record 409 points that season. Tucker had his worst statistical year in 2015, missing seven field goals despite leading the league in attempts.
Tucker was given the franchise tag by the Ravens on February 26, 2016, just before the start of the 2016 season, for $4.5 million. On July 15, 2016, he signed a 4-year, $ 16.8 million extension. This season, he was named to his second Pro Bowl and was named First-Team All-Pro for the second time in his career. Tucker made 34 of 37 field goals and was a perfect 39-for-39 on extra points in 2017. For the 2017 season, he was named second-team All-Pro.
Tucker became the first player in NFL history, to record 30 or more made field goals in six straight seasons, in 2018. He recorded an 89.7% field goal percentage in 2018.

Tucker later signed a 4-year, $23.05 million contract extension with a $12 million guarantee on April 24, 2019. Tucker maintained his accuracy in 2020, making 26 field goals on 29 attempts. Tucker set an NFL record with a 66-yard game-winning field goal as the clock was ticking down at the end of regulation time with a 19-17 win over the Detroit Lions on September 26, 2021. For his performance this season also, he was named to his 5th Pro Bowl after the season.
For his career, Justin Tucker has been a Super Bowl winner(XLVII), a 5-time All-Pro First Team(2013, 16, 18, 19, 21), and a 5-time Pro Bowl player. In 2021, he was added to Madden 99 club as part of the Madden NFL 22 game.
