Nyheim Hines was ruled out of the Week 5 game against the Denver Broncos with a concussion on Thursday. The Indianapolis Colts running back was hit hard in the initial minutes of the Thursday Night Game. The 25-year-old stood up, however, wobbled and stumbled right after. He was taken off the pitch immediately.
Indianapolis support staff was quick to react. They took Hines off the field and soon announced that he will not return.
Fans, comparing Hines’ concussion to Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s, were impressed by Colts’ call.

“Shout out to this Broncos staffer for immediately recognizing Hines’ instability and running out to help him,”a Twitter user said.
Tua fell on his head during Miami’s Week 2 match-up. The team, however, let the QB play after half-time. Richard Sherman, member of NFLPA Executive Committee, concluded that ‘protocols were not followed’ in his case.
Tagovailoa played the next week too. He was slammed to the ground and displayed gross motor instability. He did not return to the game and has been ruled out of Week 5.

A concussion protocol is currently being discussed by the NFL and NFL Players Association regarding Tagovailoa’s concussion in last week’s Thursday night game in Cincinnati.
With Hines and Jonathan Taylor (ankle) out, the Colts are short of quality running backs. Deon Jackson and former Broncos standout Phillip Lindsay will have to carry the load for them.
