Indian equity benchmarks ended higher on Tuesday with the Sensex gaining 374.76 or 0.62% higher to 61,121.35 points. The Nifty gained 133.20  or 0.74% higher to 18,145.40 points.

The broader indices ended green with the BSE MidCap index gaining 1.04% and the SmallCap index up by 0.26%. The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were Power up by 2.18%, Utilities 2.11%, IT 1.77%, TECK 1.67%, and Healthcare 1.61%, while Bankex down 0.11% was the only losing sectoral indices on BSE.

Castrol India: The stock ended 3.26% lower at Rs 120.35 on the BSE after it reported a flat growth in its net profit of Rs 187 crore with revenue from operations rising 4% to Rs 1,121 crore. The performance was impacted due to forex and inflationary pressures, which led to higher costs of additives and base oil.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals: The stock ended 2.19% higher at Rs 413.40 on the BSE after Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc (USA) unveiled Fingolimod capsules, 0.5 mg, the generic version of Gilenya1 Capsules, 0.5 mg, by Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. The annual sales of Gilenya Capsules, 0.5 mg reached around $1.8 billion, according to IQVIA data for the 12-month period ending September 2022.

Adani Enterprises: The stock ended 6.85% higher at Rs 3,575.60 on the BSE on Tuesday. 

FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd (Nykaa): The stock ended 2.44% higher at Rs 1,185.75 on the BSE on Tuesday. The stock gained nearly 18% a day earlier after the company announced the date for the issue of bonus shares.

RMC Switchgears: The stock ended nearly 5% higher at Rs 284.10 on the BSE after the company received a Rs 230.2 crore Letter of Award from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company under its EPC division. The project is to be completed in the coming 12 to 18 months.

Timken India: The stock ended 5.65% lower at Rs 2,828.65 on the BSE after the company reported a net profit of Rs 97.6 crore for Q2FY23, 23% higher year-on-year. Revenue from operations in the reviewed quarter was Rs 695.4 crore, up 25% year-on-year.

Jay Bharat Maruti: The stock ended 5.64% lower at Rs 186.40 on the BSE after the company reported a net profit of Rs 8.9 crore, up 156% year-on-year against Rs 3.5 crore a year ago. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 571 crore, up 24%.
