Kim Kardashian, 42, has opened up on the podcast Angie Martinez IRL about the struggles of raising her children with former husband, Kanye West, who has recently found himself in the midst of controversy after voicing racially charged comments against Jewish people on a number of occasions.
The former couple have recently finalised their divorce, and are now sharing responsibilities of their children. In the interview, Kardashian said that it has been a struggle to keep her children away from all the drama surrounding their parents’ divorce. She thinks, “If they don’t know the things that are being said or what’s happening in the world, why would I ever bring that energy to them? That’s really heavy grown-up s— that they’re not ready to deal with”.

She thinks that her children will thank her later for not airing her views against West publicly.
Her exact comments were, “One day my kids will thank me for sitting here and not bashing their dad when I could”. Kardashian further added, “They’ll thank me and I’ll privately answer anything that they want to know. It’s not my place anymore to jump in.”
She also reminisced about her famous lawyer father, Robert Kardashian, and said that she wants to give her children happy memories just like her father had given her and her sisters while they were growing up.
