Kanye West fans, rejoice! The rapper dropped a surprise new album “Emmanuel” on the Christmas Eve. The album is written and produced by West and features the Sunday Service Choir on the entire project. As per the Deadline, the five-song EP is inspired by ancient and Latin music.

This album is the second back to back Christmas release of West following last year’s Christmas album release “Jesus Is Born” that was inspired by gospel, which the 43-year-old recorded with his Sunday Service Choir only.

The rapper’s new record is explained as a “celebration of the miracle of the birth of Jesus Christ” which includes the Christian prayer Requiem Aeternam (Eternal Rest) and the choral work O Magnum Mysterium.

West began his Sunday Service events in 2019 when he started hosting semi-regular gatherings featuring music.
